Right of Withdrawal

1. Current Situation: No Statutory Right of Withdrawal

World of Pharaos is currently provided entirely free of charge. Playing the game does not create any paid contract between you and VidiScope GmbH. However, a statutory right of withdrawal under Section 312g BGB requires a paid consumer contract. Since no such contract currently exists, there is currently no statutory right of withdrawal.

Regardless of this, you may end the terms-of-use agreement for your game account at any time, informally and without giving reasons, by deleting your account. The deletion function is available in the game under Settings → Security → "Delete Account". Alternatively, an informal message to office@vidiscope.com is sufficient.

2. Precautionary Withdrawal Notice for Future Paid Services

The following withdrawal notice applies as a precaution in case we offer paid add-on services in the future (e.g. a premium/currency system). It only becomes relevant once you actually order such a paid service from us; it has no effect on the currently free use of the game.

Right of withdrawal: As a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for paid services, without giving any reason. The withdrawal period begins on the day the contract is concluded. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us — VidiScope GmbH, Römerstr. 27, 89250 Senden, Germany, phone +49 731 25089010, email office@vidiscope.com — by means of a clear statement (e.g. by post or email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send your notice of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal: If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments we have received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we received notice of your withdrawal. For this reimbursement, we will use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees as a result of this reimbursement.

3. Important Notice: Early Expiry for Digital Content

For digital content not supplied on a physical medium (e.g. virtual goods, unlocks), your right of withdrawal expires early once we have begun performance of the contract, provided that you have expressly agreed that we begin performance before the withdrawal period has expired, and you have simultaneously confirmed your knowledge that, by giving this consent, you lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins (Section 356(5) BGB). We will obtain this consent and confirmation separately and explicitly before providing any future paid digital service.

4. Model Withdrawal Form

If you wish to withdraw from the contract, you may fill in the following form and send it to the contact details given above. Use of this form is not mandatory.
